Responsible Gambling

Gambling is entertainment with a risk of losing money. Set a spending and time limit before you start, use only money you can afford to lose and stop when you reach either limit. Do not borrow to gamble or try to recover losses by increasing your stakes.

Keep gambling within clear limits

You must be at least 18 and meet the legal gambling age where you live; 19 is required in many provinces. Age alone does not establish that a casino is permitted in your location.

Ask for a break or self-exclusion

To request a break or self-exclusion at Spinsy, contact support through the casino’s Help Centre. State clearly that you want to stop gambling, specify the restriction you are requesting and ask for confirmation. Keep the response and ask to stop promotional messages too.

Do not open another account or try to get around self-exclusion. If gambling feels difficult to control, step away from the site and contact an independent support service.

When to seek support

Chasing losses, spending bill money, hiding gambling or repeatedly exceeding your own limits are reasons to seek help. You do not have to wait for a crisis or a particular amount of debt.

Canadian support resources

The directory points to regional services; it is not itself a treatment service. These resources can also help people concerned about someone else’s gambling.
